Traitor in her arms
– Shana Galen
My review : Traitor in her arms is my first book from this author and the first of The Scarlet Chronicles series. If you read my blog or follow my Instagram, you might know how much I love historical romances. Well, let me tell you that Traitor in her arms has everything I like in those type of read : the passion mixed with adventure and suspens. A perfect historical romance.
♥ The characters ♥
Gabrielle – I loved reading about this character. The paradox between the good girl from a noble family and the thief is really entertaining. If you like strong characters that are determined and go for what they want, you’ll love Gabrielle. She’s loyal, courageous, beautiful and kind.
Ramsey – Ramsey’s character is really intriguing from the beginning. We know he has a big secret and we can’t help but read to discover it. I found the secret not to be disappointing. Ramsey is touching by his story, his loyalty and by his love for Gabrielle while he tries to keep his distance from her but fails.
♥ What I loved ♥
- The chemistry between Ramsey and Gabrielle
- The suspens and adventure mixed with a passionate romance
In conclusion, it’s a historical romance I strongly recommend to all lovers of this genre.
My review :
Hello everyone ! If you follow me on Instagram, you must have seen that I was lucky to receive an ARC from one of my favorite author : R.S. Grey in exchange for an honest review. I’m really happy and I thank the author and her team again. Even more now that The Foxe and the Hound has officially become my favorite novel from this author. Honestly, R.S. Grey is for me the queen of romantic comedy just like Sophie Kinsella is the queen of Chick-lit.
Have you ever read a book that put a smile on your face and that you enjoy so much you don’t want it to end ? Well, The Foxe and the Hound was it for me. I’ve read Anything you can do by the same author and said that R.S. Grey couldn’t do better as I thought it couldn’t be more perfect than that. But she did it! This book exceeded everything.
Dating you / Hating you
My review : I don’t think anyone has escaped the craze around Dating you / Hating you’s release by Christina Lauren. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and when I did, I read it in one go. I didn’t sleep for an entire night to finish it. It was that good.
First, I’ll have to say I’m so pleasantly surprised by this book. I’ve loved all their previous series (some books more than others). However, I didn’t expect something like Dating you / Hating you. It was something else entirely and still, you could feel it was Christina Lauren. Their humor is there, their endearing characters as well but the subject is way more serious. I found that their characters were so well thought, the story was more mature. This book is really a favorite. Well done to those wonderful authors who succeeded in writing something a bit different from what they’re used to and doing it amazingly!
Sunset in Central Park
Genre : Contemporary Romance
Rating : ♥♥♥♥
My review :
Sarah Morgan has always been a go-to author for me. Her stories are the perfect mix between sweet and sexy and I’m always sure of spending a good time with one of her books. This was again the case with “Sunset in Central Park“.
What I liked
- Frankie : I loved Frankie’s character. Her cynicism made me laugh out loud and I found it so realistic. I liked her vulnerability, her loyalty towards her friends and people she loves, the fact that she wasn’t aware she was capable of trusting and loving someone and how strong she really is. I found her character really touching.
My review :
Today, I’m talking about my last read : Friends without Benefits by Penny Reid. This is my first book from this author and I have to say that this has never happened to me : hating a book as much as I loved it.
At first I was sure I was giving it a 1 star rating. I didn’t like Elizabeth at all. I found her issue with Nico to be a bit repetitive and didn’t like her reaction. I didn’t get how she dealt with it and I found it so unbelievable, it was ridiculous everytime she explained it.
